Thanks! Looking forward to seeing how that work goes on yours. Who did you go with for struts and springs?

I'm going with the KYB AGX's and Vogtland springs, not looking for a huge drop, roads are hit or miss around here and i already scrape quite a bit lol

Yeah, I already got my SSC/CM springs but now I'm actually thinking of going with Vogtlands instead, for the same reason you pointed out. I've never really scraped prior but I don't want to go too low. I called Vogtland NA today but didn't get an answer. Did you order yours direct from them? I had the KYB AGX's on my 03, those are nice struts.

I got the springs used, I've heard good things about the ride quality, I honestly don't think .25 of an inch will hurt ya, but I found some Vogtlands relatively cheap and just went for it lol

Yep I've heard good things about Vogtland too, as well as the SSC/CM springs which is why I went with those. I was unsure about SSC/CM springs from the beginning because their advertised drop is a little more than I wanted to go but I went for it anyway. Hell, I've been so undecided on what spring to go with but it's not like we have a huge choice for our cars. I think I'll just end up installing the SSC/CM springs on the car, since I already have them, and see how I like them and go from there. Vogtland would still be my next option. Their U.S. website shows the springs for the 04-07 (pn 959220) being out of stock though.

before you assembly the struts, can you measure the main strut shaft? and send a link to where you bought those struts

Tim, the Bilstein HD strut rod diameter is 1.58", compared to the GM factory strut rod diameter of 0.86". PM sent with link.

Alright I’ve got a second for an update here. So, I spent this past weekend at the lake and, because of that, didn't get a lot done this weekend. I did, however, have some time to paint the front calipers and caliper brackets when I got home last evening. Decided to go with new brake pads all around instead of just the rears, so I ordered a set of ACDelco performance pads from the local Chevrolet dealer. Those should be in for pick-up today so I can get my brakes back together tonight. Hoping to get the new strut assemblies built and installed on the car before Saturday, but we'll see how that goes. Here's the caliper work last night.
