My lowering springs came yesterday. Now here's the bit of confusion. I ordered by placing a call to the number on SSC's website, right. However, when I got my springs the box and invoice are both labeled Canuck Motorsports. I read up on that a little bit and, from what I could tell, SSC and Canuck Motorsports are the same company. It's just a difference of retail and wholesale and basically re-branding the same product, which is the confirmation I got when I called them about it yesterday. Their company manufactures springs for both automotive and industrial applications, just like some of the manufacturers I was looking at for custom springs. The confusing part is that they don't clarify any of this.
Honestly, now that I have these, I'm really not sure if I want to stick with these or go with Vogtlands. Anyway, here are the "SSC" springs. The set was $180 including shipping. The advertised drop is 1.8" front and 1.5" rear, which overall is 0.5" lower than what I lowered my 03 to with the Eibachs. http://i1249.photobucket.com/albums/...s/DSC_3938.jpg Fronts on the left, rears on the right. http://i1249.photobucket.com/albums/...s/DSC_3945.jpg http://i1249.photobucket.com/albums/...s/DSC_3944.jpg http://i1249.photobucket.com/albums/...s/DSC_3940.jpg Front spring compared to factory spring. http://i1249.photobucket.com/albums/...s/DSC_3926.jpg |
Its looking great so far man. May I just add from what I saw in the first set of pictures your car is damn clean! Its in beautiful shape. I guess I never realized you had your 2 front windows tinted also since your sig pic had the windows down, great touch to a black car it looks great man. Keep up the good work.

Thanks So, I got out in the garage tonight and disassembled the factory rear struts, which means all four are disassembled now. I also unbolted the front brake calipers and caliper brackets to get ready for paint. The brackets are cleaned up and sanded now so I should have time to get those painted tomorrow evening. Here's some of tonight's progress. After removal of the front brake calipers and brackets. http://i1249.photobucket.com/albums/...s/DSC_3959.jpg http://i1249.photobucket.com/albums/...s/DSC_3955.jpg http://i1249.photobucket.com/albums/...s/DSC_3976.jpg Factory rears compared to the new Bilstein HD's. http://i1249.photobucket.com/albums/...s/DSC_3963.jpg http://i1249.photobucket.com/albums/...s/DSC_3961.jpg http://i1249.photobucket.com/albums/...s/DSC_3960.jpg Disassembled factory rear strut. http://i1249.photobucket.com/albums/...s/DSC_3964.jpg http://i1249.photobucket.com/albums/...s/DSC_3968.jpg http://i1249.photobucket.com/albums/...s/DSC_4000.jpg |
