Impala SS Wheel 18" Chrome w/ Tires

1 Attachment(s)
Hey Guys,
After going to the Michigan meet and greet last Saturday, I saw Alec's (SiKImpalaSS) Impala SS on factory 18" chromes. This brought back my interest in getting a set of these for my car. There is currently a set on ebay for $950 . I can offset the cost of this by using a set of 18" tires I inherited, Falken "FK452" 245/45/ZR18.

Question is, can I use these 245/45/ZR18 on this rim? Factory tire on these wheels are P235/50/R18.

Jake:

First off, I think those wheels would look Great on your Monte!

Im no expert on tire sizes... But, The falkens are a Tad shorter by 1/4"... But not as wide as the stock tire size...
Meaning it will more than likely lower the overall ride height..

Thats what I get out of it... I believe since your Monte is still at stock ride Height,I dont believe its going to be an issue!;)

This just may help put your mind at ease!

Those chrome ones are rare. Hardly ever see them. Alec and I were talking about that.

From the pricing I saw when looking at wheels ($1200-$1500) that $950 price tag isn't too shabby for those wheels. If you don't mind investing a little sweat and elbow grease you could polish a set of standard wheels then hit them with a coat of clear coat and have the same appearance as the chrome wheels. They'd also reduce your unsprung weight because they are lighter weight. ;)

BrewCityMC - I have 2 cars that came from the factory with P235/50R x 18's and on both cars I have put P245/45R x 18's with absolutely no issues. They will fit will no difficulties at all. And those 18" OEM SS Wheels are my favorite; they are gorgeous.

Well they dropped the price of the take-off ss wheels on ebay to $855 so I slept on it and bought then this am. It did look like 1 had a small scuff but I can deal with it. Economy shipping so I'll probably have them in a week and a half, can't wait!
