Drag Slicks

i dont know what kind of power your making and im going to assume that your car is fwd, but there are cars that run insane times on a drag radial. granted these are huge tire, all out back halfed cars, but the point is how fast can you possibly be trying to go that a drag radial isnt hooking up. at that point id be looking into suspension and trying to limit weight transfer. run the widest dr with the most sidewall you can get.

Monteman: I am running P285R40/18 for the strip but turning is an issue with some rubbing. But at the track I can deal with that. I want to replace my P255R45/18's I have on it that are stock tires with DR's for street/show purposes where turning is now an issue because I do not want to have any rubbing issues especially on the street.
The car is FWD with 814 FWHP.

Could u get away with running a 245 instead of a 255? Not much difference in tread with 9.0 vs 9.10

This is the Monte the forum member owns and is wanting to source out slicks for. It's the only 6th / 7th gen running the huge Willwood rotors and calipers. There has been an extensive amount of suspension work completed. Probably nothing left un-done in all reality with the suspension.
