Busted rear end
 

I busted my 7.5 rear end in my 87 SS. Is there any 8.5 rears that will bolt in that I look for at the bone yard like out of an El Camino or something? I got a stout 383 and I need a rear that will hold the hp. Thanks Ray

most of the cars and el camino has 7.5 10 bolts i think that some of the buick cars had the big ten bolt which is stronger i have a friend that has a grand national rear end under his and he does race it and his car has about 650 to 700 hp out of a 406 but if it was me i would look in jegs and see what i could get one from currie it is a 9 inch ford but they say they are bullet proof and the make them to bolt right in the car or you could get a dana rearend you may also try ebay i hope some of this can help you
