I like those kid space, I might go black this year just got mine lifted today so im ready this year no rub. Heavy Chevy ridin clean buddy!!

ChibiBlackSheep 02-19-2011 09:07 PM

22s can run with rubberbands, when you hit 24 you have to lift.

heavy chevy 02-19-2011 09:39 PM

you dont have to lift. you just have to bend the struts up and go with rubberbands. you can use spring spacers so that if you have anyone in the back it will not rub.

ChibiBlackSheep 02-19-2011 09:44 PM

I'm not a fan of bending strut plates

But we can simplify this and just say that with 22s and rubberbands you can run it just by bolting on the wheels, if you go to 24s you will have to make some modifications. ;)

how about 18's with performance tires on them and call it a day =D

jaws2008 02-21-2011 06:26 PM

Agreed with trewyn

I think 18s or 20s look best on these cars

norwex 02-27-2011 04:01 AM

i like 22s best

Adouble02 02-27-2011 09:07 AM

i have a 2000 monte ls on 24's done myself

to make them fit you'll need 2" lift blocks
beat the strut plates lip upwards
24" high offset wheels like the 22" you have or better
235/30 or 245/30 series tire
and cut the body to fit (grinder or dremmel)
but tape off the body so you can see how you want it to look.

M0nteCarl007 03-01-2011 12:46 AM

I did the blocks last year for my 22's but it throws the alignment off once you put the stock rims back on. Once the blocks are in a shop like Sears wont align them with the blocks and once you take them out the coils are done for. I recently just got a custom lift for mine and can fit up to 26's on it no rub and no beating the plates.

will beating the strut plates up mess the car up? i have some 24's and im undecided of which way to go< lift kit or beat strut plate up>
