20'S ARE THE WAY TO GO, 22'S WILL ALSO STRESS YOUR BRAKES OUT TOO, I HAVE 20X7.5 I KEPT EVERYTHING THE SAME AS A STOCK WHEEL EXCEPT I WENT TALLER BY 3. MyTIRE PROFILE IS 35 BECAUSE THEY ARE A Z RATED TIRETHE WIDTH IN MY TIRE AND WHEEL ARE THE SAME AS THE STOCK 17'S. IF YOU WANT A NICE DISH GO 20X8.5 AND JUST MAKE SURE YOUR WHEEL OFFSET IS CORRECT TO YOUR VEHICLE. 20'S ARE GREAT FOR PERFORMANCE AND THEY LOOK GREAT. DISCOUNTWHEELWAREHOUSE.COM IS WHERE I GOT MY WHEELS, CALL BEFORE YOU ORDER THEIR STAFF OVER THE PHONE MAKES SURE YOUR OFFSET WILL BE CORRECT AND THEY CAN TELL YOU WHAT WILL FIT PERFECTLY AND THEY CAME MOUNTED ALL I HAD TO DO WAS HAVE DISCOUNT TIRE PUT THE WHEELS ON THE CAR BECAUSE I DIDN'T HAVE A GOOD JACK FOR THE JOB.

even if u go 20's depending on how deep your lip is on the rim it could even hurt your tire.

my brother has 20's on his 02 trans am and in the back his tires rub everytime he hits a bump. his tires are literally ripping up on the sides. he a very deep lip. it would not do this if the lip wasn't so deep

Nope, it's either an offset or tire size issue, nothing to do with the dish I guarantee.
X2. You get get away with up to 18's. After that you look into unnecessary wear. The 20's and 22's will probably drop you tire life by around 20,000 miles.

Actually the 20's offer worse performance. Most noticably is in acceleration. The 20's weigh more and therefore have more rotating mass and it is harder for the engine to spin them. They also effect handling unless you modify the suspention.

But they do look great!!!

Your 22's on your monte look good. I bet you are way happier that you went with the 22's instead of the 20's

yes... you'll gain a lot back. im not sure how much the 22's are robbing you of, but, you should be back to at least around stock performance.
