20's or 22's
ok so im really undecided on what size to get i want the mobility of 20's and still have the lookbut ilove the look of 22's, is it true thatthe 22's will put more stress on the motor and since the tires would have to be thin would driving conditions be an issue as well???????

Not just a stress on the motor, but your suspension components as well. Moderator Wiz Kidd runs a parts store. He always recommends upgrading your suspension parts to something a bit more heavy duty when switching to such large wheels. I believe MOOG is his recommended brand for the Monte.

go 22's. 20's are baby wheels nowadays.
22's won't really hurt your car all like that.
u should take them off in the winter though so salt won't eat away at your chrome.
I know a few people with 22's on their monte and I have yet to hear of someone messing their suspension up.
as long as u get the right tire sizes then you should be fine

RE: 20's or 22's
even if u go 20's depending on how deep your lip is on the rim it could even hurt your tire.
my brother has 20's on his 02 trans am and in the back his tires rub everytime he hits a bump. his tires are literally ripping up on the sides. he a very deep lip. it would not do this if the lip wasn't so deep

Nope, it's either an offset or tire size issue, nothing to do with the dish I guarantee.
