20 Inch Rims

Hello everyone! I am currently looking at buying some rims and tires for my 2001 monte. I found a good deal on a complete set that came off of an Equinox. So the bolt pattern is the same but the tire size is 245/40/20. I've been having trouble finding information on how this size will fit.

My main worry is rubbing when I'm making a sharp turn or something.

Any idea on how this size will fit or if a 20 inch rim will look a little goofy? Thanks.

Those will probably be too big for a 2000, 2000-05 wheel wells are small compared to 7th gens. I would recommend calling a tire shop to see the size suggested

I have an '07 with 20's on it. The tire size is 30, though, so 40 might be a little too tall. It looks "okay", but, I would prefer to go back to the stock 18's to make it original (the 20's were on the car when we bought it last Friday).

ok, thanks for your replies. I kind of thought they would be a little big. The closest I could find that apparently fits is a 245/35/20. I think I'll look for a smaller size, thanks again.
