Thumbs down 1970 Monte Carlo Larger Tire Size than Stock

I want to put tire size 255/60R15 on the front and rear of a 1970 Monte Carlo. What size wheel do I need to avoid rubbing the front and the rear of the vehicle? How wide of a wheel do I need or a (width range) and what backspacing do I need to avoid rubbing or is this tire size 255/60R15 to large and would a 245/60R15 be a better fit avoiding rubbing or modifications?

I ran 255/60R15 on my Chevy Rally rims FW code, which were optional on our 1st and 2nd gen. Monte Carlos, for ~20 years. The only time I had rubbing issues was when maneuvering tight spaces such as in parking lots.
