Took the cts-v to the track yesterday :)

Very happy with today, 4th pass ever for me in this car, 2nd pass ever with drag radials, got a very nice personal best of 11.29@125mph! Car is dead hooking now with the 305/35/20 Mickey thompson s/s drag radials which is awesome but now that it can be launched we need to adjust shift points as 1-2 shift was happening at like 5300rpm. 2-3 shift was early as well and the car should be shifting around 6500-6700rpm. I also didn't ice it down for these passes and this run was hotlapped because the track guys messed up and sent me again so im very happy. Hopefully with a better trans tune and some ice we can sneak in a 10.9!

Dang your having waaay to much fun. You have been so busy modding your Caddy and it really shows in your video. That thing is wicked, the poor Cobalt driver had to be shaking his head as you pulled away and away and away...

Proud of you, you are doing marvelous, vey nice build, wish I had that CTS=V.

Sweet! But I'd like to see a head-to-head versus the turbo Monte (when its back together). I remember an in-car video with a rolling start on the highway once, but I don't recall the strip race...

Thanks guys, the first race of the day was against a srt8 grand Cherokee with me giving him the same result that I gave that cobalt lol. Both were cool guys, talked to me after the race and actually added me on Facebook haha.

We never ran turbo monte against the cts-v at the track.... Yet ;)

The cts-v is supposed to be your wife's car, isn't it? Is she allowed to drive it still?

The cts-v is technically the wife's toy, turbo Monte is mine. She drives it all the time, she will be racing it April 21st.

Updates!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Went to the track 6-3-17 with a whole new tune from another company called domin8 tuning and wow what a difference! According to domin8 he said the old tune was very aggressive and he doesn't know how the car didn't blow a piston. He took care of it and the car made 618whp/621wtq so a little less then the old tune at 632whp/623wtq but it's very safe and no kr at all. The old tune last track day we seen 4°kr on the last pull that's why we quit racing. The old shop also made the 632whp pull after car was completely cool and iced down, domin8 let the car sit for 15mins between dynos so he didn't even try for a "glory pull" with that said im sure the car never really made 632whp like claimed from the old tuner.

My best pass of the day was a 10.79@131mph with a 1.56 60ft on the same drag radials on 20" wheels!

The wife also raced and ran a 10.81@131mph with a 1.59 60ft!!

This car is a complete monster! Dead hooks off the line while launching at 1500rpm and going straight to wot as fast as my foot can make the peddle go!

The temperature was around 78-80° and the DA was 2770 at the time of this pass. we were icing down the car so intake post blower temps were around 60° at start of pull and around 118° at the end of the 1/4.
