New rims and tires with new spoiler...

I really don't like the rims that came with my 2002 Montecarlo. I scoured craigslist and salvage yards for 2 weeks looking for what I wanted and found the exact ones. I got so lucky. This rich guy was blacking out his 2008 Impala. Rather than powder coat the rims, he bought new so I bought his with nearly new tires. I went from 16s to 18s...

I also wanted a different spoiler because the factory one just didn't look too good and was cracked. I found one off of a 2004 Mustang GT and it fit perfectly. I had to add high density plastic loggers wedges sanded to fit matching lifting the rear 3/4 of an inch. They still need painted but it looks good.

I am now trying to decide on how to set and cut black racing stripes for it. I found out that black poster board from Dollar General will lay smooth and stick when wet and looks like racing stripes. I am thinking 2, 5 inch stripes one inch off center tapered to the front of the hood.

I also want to paint the brake calipers to match.

Does any one else have any suggestions on my 2002 Monte Carlo?

Love the 10 spokes! I almost bought a set of those for my Monte and went with aftermarket 10 spokes.

Well, let me first say im definitely stealing that spoiler idea.. That looks amazing..

Rims look good, id paint them black if it were mine..

Curious about the front of your car there where its painted black, was there once a grille there??

Yea looks awesome tho with that spoiler..

Wow this is a one of a kind ride now:cool:, you might want to keep with the theme and make sure it doesn't have the same common stripes that all the rest of the Monte Carlo's have. I am attaching a few photo's of other cars with a different look, maybe it will strike up an idea for you. I think it might set off the Yellow with your ground effects being a bit darker too. I found something for that too. Check it out. They are Camaros but are family.

The spoiler idea is patent pending...lol... Knock yourself out man. For the spoiler rear lift using loggers wedges I found mine at Tractor Supply for $10 a piece but they work well. 3 in by 8 in. The plastic will melt as you cut it but keep cutting it over and over again. Then use putty to fill it all in then sand it to get the measurements exact to match the wing supports.

Racing stripe ideas

I plan to add 2 fender stripes per side in addition to this but I found a racing stripe set up on a dodge viper that I think looks good. I've included the viper set up to show.

As far as the front end, the grill is still there. I just painted it black. I think it looks great. I wasn't buying a new bumper although the set up that Andy's Autosports has for sale looks good.

racing stripe ideas?

I have been looking at racing stripe ideas and I cant decide.... I am looking at the center dual tapered stripes with fender stripes but not sure. The first one shows what I am aiming for but I think the stripes need to be wider over all. Those are 7 inches wide. Any thoughts?
