6th Gen ('00-'05): my work in progress
my buddy's car is now off the road and he has offered to sell me his wheels a while back, not being completely sold on blacking out my stock rims and not wanting to go broke on new rims and tires I'm leaning towards possibly going through with it and picking up his
havn't talked about it in a while, all i know is they fit his Avenger so they are 5x114.3 or at least fit his 114.3 bolt pattern and are 18"
curious of what others think I should do, would probably dip them black to get rid of that red stripe that doesn't match my car

Scott... If I may. I would like to suggest to you that since I live in Ajax Ontario and we see a lot of moisture/salt and my Montey has been winter driven 4 years straight since I've owned it. You'd want to invest in some Eastwood Rubberized Encapsulator. There is a supplier here in Ontario that sells Eastwood product (so you dont have to order from the states) Hoppys Auto Restoration. I would undercoat the snot out of that car. I know a lot of people are against drilling holes in the door sills and inside the quarter panels but I would get an oil gun and spray everything inside and underneath your car so you wont have to deal with this issue again.
You'd want to use black body plugs to cover the holes after your done.
The rust encapsulator is a state of the art product and is specially formulated for rust application and will not allow moisture to get in behind the paint or the undercoat to cause the rust to reoccur. As of recently I had undercoated my whole car. It has been 2 months and so far so good.
Kill the cancer. Or at least stop it in its tracks. It is an absolute killer on our cars and its a shame that these cars did not come from the factory fully undercoated. Good luck with your project sir. It is really starting to come along

and i think i will inquire about the wheels, but now i got the stupid p0442 code error i have to deal with first
think im going to cross my turn signal issue and power window switch off my list next
I can toggle the hazard switch around and eventually my signals will come back on, but im not a fan of randomly needing to turn my hazards on in traffic and needing to constantly find the sweet spot to use my power window (drivers side only) is getting old
hopefully those two orders will do the trick, user reviews all look promising : ) and prices don't seem that bad but I haven't really look around yet
