do you plan on moving the filter?

hunterh047 01-11-2015 09:31 PM

Well ill either build a box around it or do a fenderwell...but if i do, what can i do with the battery?

Well you have done a very nice job with this, your whole engine bay is pretty cherried out. Congrats on staying with it. It is weird your battery is on the drivers side. Where is your old air intake box located?

He has a 5th gen monte carlo. I know my lumina that was the same body style had the battery on the drivers side too. it was under I believe the windshield wiper fluid bottle.

You can probably do a battery relocation to the trunk, build a box and run the power and ground all the way back.

That is a good idea and pretty easy to do. I have a battery in my trunk and all you need to do is run a power wire to the back and you would be good to go. I ran my wire under my carpet. There is plenty of room under there. For the front just run a distribution block for all the wires so they are connected to the battery.

Yep, all you can do with the battery is move it to the trunk. Sweet 5th gen though! Although I just run my air filter on the throttle body... ;)
