Taking Monte to the track
The Monte is back at home, again! It was gone for almost a year, had it for a month and then back to the shop for a different torque converter. Jheesh, it never ends...
This Saturday at our local NHRA sanctioned 1/4 mile track there is an all day event. There will be a myriad of events, something for everyone.
A Car Show, Burn-Out contest, 12.00 Index (12 second or slower cars), Roll Race Shoot Out (I'm entering this one)), All In bracket, Street Truck, Street Unlimited (Run What Ya Brung), Stick Shift, Street Racer, Daily Driver, Extreme Street, Motorcycle Shoot Out, FWD Shoot Out.
The Monte handles real well with all the recent mods, actually extremely well. The Holley System and this Triple Disc Clutch Converter makes for a real nice combination. She pulls clean, smooth and very hard.
Have 2 Go Pro cameras that will capture all the moments and shame, I will eventually lose, just hope I can make it to the 3rd round or so. But should be a fun event. Will have the Drag radials on, 104 Octane and see what it can do. I'm doing this for all of us, got to keep the Monte Carlo name in front of peoples faces...
