Owned the Mitsubishi Eclipse
So my friend, Dalton, got a 2001 Mitsubishi Eclipse GS about a year ago and has been bugging me to race. He is completely convinced that his car will beat mine. And when I say completely convinced, I mean there is no changing his mine.
Well, that was until Saturday. The other day, I just so happened to pull up next to him at a stop light and we were the first two in traffic. He saw me and waved, so of course I revved my engine. He revved his back, and as soon as the light turned green, I dropped her into third and took off. I was far enough ahead so I let off the gas to let him catch up thinking he would slow down next to me. Nope, he just kept on going. So again, I took off. I caught up and proceeded to pass him. I think my top speed was around 85. Fittingly, after our short shoot-out we pulled into Advanced Auto Parts. He was totally tweaking out "I f*ing red lined my car, how fast were you going?" And I said my car was pushing at a comfortable 4000 rpm and topped around 85. I think he now knows that my car, stock, will beat his (slightly) modded Eclipse. Pwn'd. |
nice kill! Im still trying to find an SS to race me around here, but I dont see any of them... :(
those 06+ SS's are pretty sick cars! |

His puny 4 cylinder stood no chance against your V8. He's a moron. My Honda's faster than his Eclipse lol and I know you'd destroy me. Nice kill

xert, nice kill! I think it's funny that he tried a ricer fly-by and you still beat that, lol. That generation Eclipse is a joke though. Especially if he thought he could beat a V8 SS. |
oh, it just didnt make sense to me lol.
what else would allow you to shift to 4th at high speeds? |

If you don't have OD engaged, it won't shift into "4th"
