Holy crap you guys got technical haha!! Currently can launch for sheeeeet because if the tranny slipping/lagging issue with the shift solenoid is acting up on a warmer day/in traffic/after driving it a lot, then the car bogs down soo badly. Hey, we knew about this when we bought it; we got quite a bit off of the asking price.

I wish it was me haha, but no, it's definitely suffering from P1811 Peoples Transmission: P1811 - Maximum Adapt and Long Shift Mode Chevy, Pontiac, Saturn, and Buick Front Wheel Drive Vehicles

Launching can be impossible sometimes with this intermittent problem.

Just cruz slow in your ride & listen to your tunes & let all the ladies get a chance to see your clean ride & maybe see who is behind the wheel

Practice your launch technique on Dub-Step'in on the dance floors of life then stop in @ your local church & go to confession & tell your priest that you have been abusing your Monte (& yourself) & ask for 4giveness 4-sure 'amen

Thanks for all that Beach Bum Mike! Thanks for telling Space I asked about him too haha. I swear I don't abuse the Monte and that I got it slightly abused. Okay maybe I go too fast once in a while....or a lot... I was asking about launching and how to drive our 4 speeds out of curiosity mostly though. Cheers!
