RE: 5.3 vs s2000
If they both posted the same numbers, I would favor the 5.3 because it is backed by an automatic transmission vs the s2000 most likely having a manual. The auto will always shift the same no matter the driver, but the s2000 driver has a chance of not being as good at shifting, therefore posting a slower time.

I think a Monte Carlo 5.3L V8would `Smoke a S2000 in a 1/4 mile,but I think the Honda would do better on a Road Course.http://images.sportcompactcarweb.com...e_Bay_View.jpg
2004 HONDA S2000 Price as Tested: $33,290 Performance Acceleration 0-30 mph: 2.3 sec 0-60 mph: 6.4 sec 30-50 mph: 2.5 sec 50-70 mph: 3.32 sec Quarter Mile time<: 14.4 sec Quarter Mile speed: 97.2 mphhttp://images.sportcompactcarweb.com..._Rear_View.jpgI like the Honda s2000, but they are `highRev Zoner`s4-Sure. That`s where their power is.When they are Mod`ed with a Turbo + they `Scream.I rather have a Monte SS V-8 with torque : ) |
RE: 5.3 vs s2000
my money would be on the monte carlo myself. i agree with 'Space though, the S2000 rapes on the road courses, curvy backroads, on ramps, etc.
