300 hp

So I was wondering on some pointers for making my 2005 supercharged ss Monte have like 310hp. Im just wondering. Can I shave the heads a little with out affecting lungevity too much. I was going to shave the heads a little, port and polish the lower intake and supercharger. And a smaller pulley.(Is a 3.0 pulley safe for stock internals?) I was also going to get the comp tuned or buy a tuner. Might also put headers on. Has any one done these mods if so what is your car capible of. Sorry for the long post.

300HP to the wheels, or to the crank?

300 to the crank is actually pretty easy on the L67. Here's a great thread to read: https://montecarloforum.com/forum/en...-bumpin-24896/

Before you go ahead with your plans, make sure you read that thread mike posted.

Don't go all the way to a 3.0 pulley w/ only a ported top end and headers. You're gonna blow it up. You need either a cam or intercooler, at least.

300HP is very do-able with just a 3.4 pulley - especially if your getting into porting things. You'll want those headers

thanks.

I do have a freind helping me out. He knows lots about these supercharged 3.8 but I like doing my research. Thanks for the thread mike. And I was wrong with the 3.0 pully he has a 3.4. And doing these mods is relitivly cheap. Thanks for the imput. If anyone has more keep it coming :)

Get a wideband so you can monitor your KR or your L67 is not going to like you. These engines are KR happy and are happy enough to throw a rod or destroy pistons.

Good luck!
