wait a minute...enzo, if yours weight 3500 with you at 180, and mine weight 3700 with me in it and im 200.....what am i missing?
Not missing anything it is what your puting in it to make it weigh that much... The more you add the heavier it gets.. Wheels, tires, sterio, amps, make the difference.

Im confused the first poster said his ss 0 to 60 is 8.03. I assume na stands for Naturally aspirated? Anyways i have an 07 3.5l and its 0 to 60 is the exact same infact sometimes 7.95. How is this? All i have is a k&n intake???? also the second poster said he runs 10's. Thats the 1/8 correct????

8+ seconds 0-60 in a 3.8 monte? Mine never goes above 8 seconds 0-60. I can hit 7 when its real cold outside. I thought the LQ1 montes were supposed to be slower than the L36 montes.

I was actually stunned to find what my monte weighs, its about 3550 with me in it. And im 180 lbs. and considering a challenger weighs 4000, we're pretty well off.
But you got to think about the power to weight ratio. The monte weighs 3550 with 205 hp at the crank. And the Challenger weighs 4000 but has closer to 400 hp. Think about that.

either click new reply or go advanced from the quick reply box. you will then have an attachment box below. this is a very old post... so i doubt you will get comments back from the people above except for more people complaining about how old this post is.

0-60 has so many factors.
1)how go you are at launching the car (even an L36 has plenty of low end to smoke tires. launch with care!)
2)track prep. IE: remove speakers, spare tire, tools, floor mats, run with low fuel level, slightly lower front tire psi, more air in rear tires, remove driver headlight for more air to intake/air box, and remove any other misc junk you normally carry.
3)air temp and psi
4)age / maintenance of the car
5)type of tires
6) And then MODS....

if the car is basically stock you should expect "about" the stock factory perf times. I say about cause these cars are getting older and that will lower performance too.
