Hello!

I am looking to buy a CAI for my 2001 monte ss.

Also a (preferably) red high sport spoiler, but any color will do. :)

Thanks!

Spoiler ... Hi Ashley .. Nice Monte! about the spoiler thing.. A high sport spoiler will not work for you (I went threw this last year) The Surf board spoiler holes are a lot farther forward on the deck lid than the high sport. 2 Options for you one replace the whole deck lid with a high sport spoiler (used) or buy a gen 7 spoiler , The gen 7 spoiler holes are the same bolt pattern the footprint of the spoiler on the lid is only slightly diff (you may have to brush touch a few small chaffe marks along the front edge of the spoiler on the deck lid itsself from the surf board as its about 1/4 inch coverage diff on the top, I bought a new one last year after buying a High Sport spoiler only to find out it would not fit (did not have the same bolt pattern) Installed the gen 7 on my sons car (LOOKED AWESOME!)and 1 year later he was in a rear end collision that took out the rear of his car (Did not damage the spoiler!) I just put it up for sale on the classified side if you are interested let me know.. Enjoy your Monte!! Hope this Helps Thanks Bob Jordan

Thanks Blownincome! I really want a 7th gen one, but they are so expensive. My boyfriend works at a collision shop and I was just planning on getting a 6th gen spoiler and drilling holes and doing some bondo work on it. :) If I could get one for cheaper then I might, but there's one on ebay for 330 bucks, but that's still too much! lol

Check www.Car-Parts.com for your spoiler. My 7th gen spoiler was pretty cheap compared to what the street value was on it. Using that site, I called around junk yards who claimed to have it and found one that was asking a low price.

They are tough to come by and tougher to come by "cheap". But this site is worth hitting up for that.
