In dessparate need of pcm please help

I need a pcm for my 98 Monte Carlo z34 with the 3.8l. Mine went out so I bought one from a junk yard and they sold me the wrong one but I didn't get to find that out until over $1000 later and still not having a running vehicle. I am in disparate of one to get this car running if anyone can help me I will be greatly appreciated. Please pm me or email me if you can help at klanz91@yahoo.com

i would contact ZZP, they can send you a new one for a few hundred..they might even take the one you have now as a core return...

also, some members here have had issue with flashed PCM's (they don't always use Monte files when they flash).

I've had good luck with Morad Parts Company, they are really nice to work with. I pickup up a set of all 4 calipers for $70 for a project. They also respond pretty quick to emails.

Morad will probably be your best bet for a stock PCM. What happened to yours?

are the 98-99 same? i was at a junk yard yesterday and saw a 3.8 5th gen with black leather seats didn't check what year it was but i think it's 99. going back tomorrow lmk by morning if you want me to pick up for you. i don't go to the yard very often as i do any more cuz of my work schedual so let me know now.

Yes 98-99 are the same engine/trans. PCM should be the same for both years.

If its a good price I will say yes if you could get it please.
My radiator fan part of my pcm went out so it wouldn't ground them to turn them on and my fuel pump portion went out and also fried my fuel pump at the same time.

not sure what they charge bcuz i never bought one before but give me the price you want to spend cuz im not going to just buy it and if you decide it's too much then im stuck with a 5th gen ecu that i have no use for it. remember, im doing a mcf member a favor normally i don't do any favor. most junk yard here will not give refund but give credit (sux) toward your next purchase. there's one yard by my work i'll check out tomorrow for you.

I have three sitting in my garage right now still attached to the wiring harnesses. I'll pull the PCM off and send it if you want. The yard here charges $45 for them, so as long as my cost and shipping is covered I can send you one.

There you go buy it from him
