They said the pan gasket. Ordered another one. Maybe the surface wasn't cleaned properly, or they tried to smooth it. So it was finally ready today, and a got the keys, started it up, checked the fluid (it was already warm from a test drive they had done) and checked the fluid again. Almost a quart low. I was livid. Drove it back around to the service entrance, and the shop manager happened to be there. Stuck it again and showed him the stick. He called someone, and they took it back to service, and brought it back 10 minutes later. I am almost afraid to look this morning. Street Smart has been very good about this. Paid for all work, and even reimbursed me for 6 quarts of fluid. Car drove home great, and shifted perfect, but just have such a bad taste in my mouth. Also has over 191K miles, so wouldn't bring much anyway. Guess I am stuck.

To following up, has this moved yet?

It has not and I have dropped the price to $7.000. As you know, the paint work was $6,000. I am not going lower. I will drive it until the wheels fall off if it doesn't sell. Just changed the oil too. All my spares go with it too. Someone is missing a great deal.I have moved to the country and do not need this anymore. Will buy a 4wd SUV of some kind.

Are you ready for this? The dealer tried 3 times to fix this. It turns out it was the FILLER TUBE, another shop in town with real mechanics found it and now it is perfect. Also found a cracked spark plug. So I feel safe in turning the other MC loose.

Found a set of almost brand new looking rims, and amazingly, they did not fit the guys car. So he was selling them all for $400. I offered him $200 and he said I paid $225. You can have them for that. So I looked up the tires on them (not brand new but still lots of tread) and they are $150 tires......EACH. Man did I score a deal .

My wife went by and picked them up in some small place in GA. She's a good girl.

So the 05 baby got new shoes. This was the ORIGINAL wheels that came on the car. I think it looks much better.
