Will a ss pace car spoiler fit a monte with a flat style ss spoiler?

I want to upgrade my 03 monte ss spoiler, i have the flat style....i want the vertical "pace car" style spoiler. If i were to purchase one would the holes line up with the trunk lid on my car? Thanks

No, it wont line up with the holes. But ive heard the larger more pace car spoiler from the 06-07 monte carlo will line up.

Spoilers are tricky in how they bolt down. The bolt pattern for the pace car spoiler is much tighter. You'd have to get a body shop to probably remove the trunk, unbolt yours, fill the holes, re-drill them, and then probably repaint the whole trunk. Or, if you're me, you could do it yourself ;), but it would require some fiberglassing, bondo'ing, and a degree of repainting that takes some skill to work with.

you could find a trunk with the spoiler your looking for and just swap trunks....either match the color or get painted....it might be the easier way and you just might break even if you sell your old trunk....good luck

I had a 01ss and i wanted a differnt spoiler and yes just as Cowboy said it is a little bit of work..

Yeah, same problem here i want the pace spoiler. Does anyone think drilling new holes would hit the origional ones resulting in a messed up double hole? and if it did work and i filled in the origional holes with bondo do you think the pace spoiler would cover the origional holes? hopefully it does and i dont have to paint the dam trunk

I found and purchased a matching color spoiler off of a 2006 Monte Carlo SS, that will bolt right up.

Anything aftermarket you find will need new holes drilled and the old holes filled. Plus that spoiler isn't just bolted down, it is also stickey taped on. So getting that off may ruin the paint that will be exposed from the smaller spoiler, and you will have to get the trunk repainted.

you should either get a shop to do all the work for you, including the hole filling and drilling and painting.

Find a trunk with the spoiler you want and bolt it on.

Or find the spoiler off a newer generation Monte like I was able to do (though I searched for 2 years...)
