Just wanted to show off my weekend project this weekend-built the whole kit for about $50 from scratch, not a premade kit :)

How well does it still work. And how did you fasten it to the car?

I attached the led strips to pieces of angle iron, by drilling holes every foot in the angle iron on either side of the strips then using zip ties to hold in place. Then I got under the car and drilled holes in the plastic under the bumpers and sides of the car, looped zip ties through those, then used them to hold on the angle iron. All wiring joints were sealed with electrical tape, then duct tape outside that.

I wrecked the car earlier this year but the lights still worked even after the wreck. All in all they're pretty durable, and if something does go wrong, they're also not hard to replace. The hardest part is running the wiring, but if you do that right the first time, seal all the joints properly, and wrap the wire in loom to avoid rubbing, it should last a good long while.
