Touch up or paint job wanted.

Hey guys!

Fairly recently, I've noticed that my paint is in really terrible shape. My friends tell me that since it's my car, I notice all the little things wrong with it. They claim they don't notice a thing, however I'd still like to get it fixed. The huge problem spots are my hood, the bottom of the hinge on the doors, above both wheel wells, and behind all four wheels. If anyone can do some good touch up work (repaint those areas), or even a full paint job for fairly cheap, let me know. I don't want to take it to a shop because they're prices are OUTRAGES! I figured I'd ask around here before I resort to shop work.

Thanks!
Tyler

touch up for sure. if not doing it yourself a detailing shop should be able to do it for fairly cheap

Would they be able to sand down, and repaint the spots so they look new? That's what I'm after. And how much do you think?

touch up! No clue on price, even to repair/repaint a few panels has to be cheaper than a wh0le paint job

They should be able to blend it fairly well I think. If it too expensive just do the worst spots and keep the others done yourself.

follow my project and maybe you can do it yourself once you see the results on mine. its in this section under my body work project. I have many of the same problems but as im a college student and dont really have more than 100 dollars to my name all u need are some basic tools bondo and a touch up paint kit. total of around 30 dollars. (depending on what all you need to get)

looks like someone tried to "touch up" your car and did a terrible job ....like i did my first time lol (didnt realize bondo/extra layers of paint was important)

Most of those scratches can be buffed out. But the obvious touched up areas (most likely from rust) look like they'll need to be sanded smooth and repainted. It doesn't mean you have to paint the entire body panel. A good painter can paint just the affected area, and feather it out to blend in with the rest of the untouched panel.

About how much do you think a job like this would cost?

i also have those little scratches like you do too i even have some on the top of my car and the trunk :( after i got it i found out the previous owner lived on a gravel and i took that as my explanation for many of the scratches but it kinda makes me sad still because almost everywhere (except the hood and bumper which are new) needs touchup and I'd like to get it done sicne it only has 79,200 miles but I think I'm going to save my money for an SS.
