Do you have the flat surfboard style and want the 06+ spoiler, or do you want the nascar inspired spoiler that came on 00-05?

If you have an 03 SS with the flat "surfboard" spoiler, and are looking to get the Nascar spoiler, you need an 06-07 Nascar spoiler. The 00-05 Nascar spoilers are not direct bolt up spoilers if you already have a surfboard spoiler.

Good luck finding the 06/07 Nascar spoiler (which is the only one that will bolt directly up to the surfboard holes). They are very hard to come by. It will take time, but if you do find a used one, it will be much cheaper than buying from GM. Although, $500 for an 06/07 Nascar spoiler, new from GM is not a horrible price, expensive yes, but i've heard as high as $750.

My best advice is to search Ebay and Craigslist looking for an 06/07 Nascar style spoiler. If you find one, jump on it.

Do not fall for the fits 00-07, these are the older style nascar spoiler, and again, will NOT fit the holes left by the surfboard.

Yes, that above is all true.

Both MaMonte and myself have put the 06/07 spoiler on our car in place of the surfboard style spoiler.

And they are VERY hard to come by. My search took over a year (and I luckily found a black spoiler)

thanks guys that's what i was looking for. see i work for a ford parts department and have "hook ups" threw other dealers and when i started looking at montes i called on the nascar body kit cuz i would have to say my fav is that blue with the silver bottom.
anyways so i get a discount for gm and he said that that spoiler would cost me around 500 but didn't mention anything like what you guys just said.
also i was looking online and found a couple different websites that had them for a lot cheaper like 150 or something if i remember. now these were the 00 style but if they have the 06 style is it i good idea?

IF you can find the 06 style, it's a good idea, but you won't find it from an aftermarket company... most likely only find it from someone parting out their Monte Carlo, or if you find a wrecked one in a junk yard.
