Do all SLP grills use only tape as instillation method? I saw one that said OE methos does that mean it has like prongs that fit where the old emblem was?

ChibiBlackSheep 02-23-2012 08:15 AM

They all adhere with tape.

Ok.. I have looked everywhere. Where can I find a SS or bowtie badge for the slp grille?

ChibiBlackSheep 03-12-2012 08:50 AM

eBay or your local parts department.

@Chibi & @zjerry: Are you saying that even the 2005 Tony Stwart Edition's GM grille is fastened from the factory with double-sided tape? Or needs it if fitted on non-Stewart Monte? Are the prongs enough for the Stewart grill seeing that it is a GM part, or did GM tape it on too?

Nevermind, folks ... I just figured out the answer ... I guess I should have looked before I spoke/asked. Anyhow ... What is the best prep method for the 3M tape? A good rubbing of some isopropyl alcohol? Something else?

I always use rubbing alcohol, just rub it lightly where you're planning to put the grille or double sided tape
