Default reverse lite lens

2002 black ss has anybody tried that vht niteshades on there reverse lite lens? does it black them out and do they still lite up good? Thanks Butch and Heartbeat.

ive heard dont know from experience yet but they are dark and youll have to get brighter bulbs...i would say you cant see really good depends on how dark you go....

I did and it lets pretty much zero light out. I can't see very well at night. I believe I did three coats on everything (tails, 3rd brake light, and reverse lights) Looks good though

Is it the law you need reverse lights?

Yeah I believe so.. From behind my car you can still see when the lights come on but they don't illuminate much. If it is completely black out they light up a little but from inside the car they really don't do much.

Reverse lights on these cars are kinda usless lol, VHT works well but deff clear over em or they will eventually dull out

I painted mine black & took the bulbs out..
state inspection station didn't say anything about rev lights..

Used VHT on mine, little to no light output though even with LED bulbs.
LED bulbs didn't help much with output, maybe slightly.
It does look a lot better with a white light instead of the ugly yellowish though.

Mine are black painted, they DO NOT throw the light on the ground anymore. But when the reverse lights are on you CAN see them.
