Default Removing wiper arms.........

I was gonna paint my sons wiper arms on his 95 MC. I removed the "cap, and the nut". Is there a trick to removing the arm itself, without mesing up the cowling, "bolt".

I just replaced my arms a few weeks ago - I put them in the up position and shut the car off to keep them there. With a little pressure and wiggling motion from a screwdriver you should be able to free them up.

I always lift up on the arm itself and use it for leverage to push down on the base to try and pop it loose.

O.k., will try the above suggestions. Just didn't want to mess them up.

A small, inexpensive 2 claw puller (like those sold for removing battery terminals from top post batteries) work great for removing wiper arms.
