Quick Stupid Question

A guy on Craigslist is selling two Impala trunk gas struts for $17 with free shipping. I need one strut (since RockAuto won't take back the defective one they sold me), but are the Impala and Monte struts the same?

Looks like yes. ACDelco for w/o Spoiler is 510795 and w/ spoiler is 510796 for for Impala and Monte Carlo.

Looks like nope. The Impala strut is three inches longer.

I think we were looking at 2 different gen MC. I was looking 2000-2005.
