Plastidipped Wheels
3 Attachment(s)
Got around to a project I've wanted to do for a while this weekend-plastidipped wheels! I like the aluminum look, but it's hard to maintain and keep polished, so I decided to try out the dip. I know dip can be polarizing-some love it and some hate it-but for $10 and a few hours work, I have to say I'm impressed.
Before: Attachment 36560 And After (I especially like how it sets off the red calipers): Attachment 36561 and here' the full car: Attachment 36562 |
For $10 bucks and a few hours work that is a nice upgrade :) the black does make the red caliper stand out

That looks good!!! :)

It looks good but you should try it with having the Chevy symbol and maybe the outside alloy still there. Those would look cool. I do like the black though.

Looks good, some people hate plastidip, but its a cheap non permanent way to mod your car.

I agree that they're almost too black now. The chevy bowties are really faded-but I thought about getting some SS stickers to put on the hubs. I have some touch-up paint that matches my car, thought about using that to paint around the edge of the rims-but my skill does not match my ambition there, I think.
Still, an improvement on before I think. |

I plasti dipped my wheel 6 years ago lol. I applied 8 coats per wheel including the inner dish part. Still to this day they're holding up without any scratches or rips. They went through 5 winters w/salt and I always pressure wash them.
