Monte Carlo "Topper"?
I'm thinking of installing a vinyl cover on the roof of my Gen 5, to evoke kind of a retro 70's look, but I'd like to get some opinions:
Should I go full cover, C-pillar landau style, or canopy landau style? Should I go single piece or sectioned? Should I turn the rear quarter windows to "opera" windows? Please keep snarky comments to a minimum...well okay, feel free to open fire :D Bruce PS: There's gonna be more - homemade fender skirts - oh yes I did...or will... anyway, carry on. |
I'd go with none of the above. Just my opinion.
Happy modding. |

Happy modding. I had an '83 Dodge Mirada CMX with a full, fake convertible top on it. It looked so real, people thought it was a true convertible. It did look good, but I'm still not much of a fan of any type of full or partial roof coverings. It was a pain to take care of, stuff like armor all ran down all over the sides of the car when it rained. |

Not a fan of that style covering. There are a few exceptions, but from what I've seen the materials, even with the best care, don't hold up as well as one would hope (cracking or discoloration issues). |
