Default My brake project! ****Final Pics****

i got a great deal on a set of F-Body brakes, and decided to clean them up and paint them!

this will be an ongoing project, and i will update with pic's as i progress.

first we start off with some pictures of them after i cleaned them up a bit (stage 1)

i still have quite a bit more cleaning to do on them, and the brackets have some of black silicone sprayed all over them so they are going to be a pain to clean... (i would have shot a pic of them the the camera battery died...)

oh, and anyone wondering what a great deal i got on these, i paid $75 shipped W/ Stainless lines... (i think they had maybe 50k on them...)

****UPDATED****

Well, i finished pulling the vinyl off, and i think the results are awesome, it's not perfection, but i think they look great (for a DIY spray can massacre).

im only going to post one pic, i used the camcorder again (Mental note: Buy batteries....) they both look exactly the same so your not missing out on seeing the other pic...

all they need now is a little wet sand, and clear coat.

They look great!

I've been looking for a set of new calipers so that I can do this (there is no way I can clean up my crappy rusted old calipers enough)

thanks, once i get them cleared and ready to mount, i will shoot a real pic of them!

i was thinking about putting my stock fronts on the rear (don't know if they will even fit...) if they don't my stockers may be up for grabs...they would be perfect for your project...

Hahaha, I just bought Ryan's front stockers today :P

But if you can get your fronts to work for your rears, I'd buy your rear ones

the front won't work on the rear. did you spray clear coat over the vinyle to keep it from peeling off.
