Headlight OUT with dashboard erre message!

I have a 2001 Monte Carlo SS. I was wondering why my passenger headlight will not function properly like the driver side headlight? Before experiencing this problem, I installed some super HID bulbs on my low beam headlights. After enjoying them, no more than 2 weeks to a month later, the passenger side headlight went dim. The error message displayed on my dashboard as "High Beam Out". So I took the HID light buld off and it melted the connection to the low beam down to were its not working at all. So I ordered the Adelco connection for that and installed it correctly. Now I am still having the same issue. I connected the regular car light bulb too it and it works properly, the only thing is, is that its still DIM. The error message keep displaying on my dashboard as "High Beam Out". Whyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy yyyyyyyyyyy is this happening? What is the problem? Please help guys, I will gladly appreciate it.

did you buy the HID wiring harness to go with the bulbs otr did u just replace them.. if so then thats why the wires are burning out

I just bought the HID buld. Is the "blue" light bulbs called (HID? If so, then that is what I used. If not, then I purchased some lights off EBAY for $7.

Those arent real HID bulbs. They are cheap tinted bulbs they try and pass off as HID. Dont buy them again. Ever.

LOL! You think I will again. I see what results they left me. So, more than likely I will pass for the more expensive ones.

I bought the aldelco part for the burned low beam connector and the right head light is still dim. It has me scratchin my head in confusion because I am thinking, after replacing the old part with the new part, I should have a bright headlight but I don't. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

when it melted, did it allow 2 wires to touch? maybe a short further into the wiring? possible fuse problem?

Thats the thing, I can't tell how far into the wiring of finding a short (if it is one). I didn't check the fuse because I thought that the fuse (if blown or defective) would effect both headlights instead of one. Or could it.....Which, the right (passenger low beam) headlight is dim. I will take a photo of the part I bought and installed on my headlight.
