7th Gen. tail lights on 6th Gen. Monte

Someone, (chibiblacksheep) told me it was possible to swap the 7th generation tail lights onto a 6th generation Monte Carlo. Personally I think the 7th generation's tail lights are its best feature, better than what the 6th generation carries. I'd like to swap them out if I can. Is this possible? How difficult is it to swap them out? And any ideas on where I can pick up 7th Generation tail lights?

Members have done it before. You can pick them up on ebay or at a local junkyard. And for the easy of install, if you cant take out a tail light, you cant replace them.

I have to believe that if Mike told you it was possible you can take it to the bank. Doubt if he would say anything unless he was sure of it.

I seem to recall this issue before, someone had swapped them out. The lower inside (at the trunk) corner and the very bottom are shaped a little different but from the pictures I recall you had to look REALLY close to see it. Or at least thats my recallection. Might try a search for taillights and see what comes up.

That is correct, there is the TINIEST bit of spacing that wasn't there for your stock lights, but it does not look bad at all / is that noticeable.

As for where to purchase, I would second ebay. Saw them there a bunch of times. Or maybe you can find someone with a 6.5 who bought the LED tails and is parting their stockers.

I personally wouldn't want the 6th gen tail lights either. You also have the LED option.
Good question above, where are you located in IN?

i like the 6th gen lights better.
