70-72 Front Fenders compatible ?

Am preparing to replace the Front Left Fender on my 1972 Monte(parking lot hit just behind wheel). I have discovered that finding a good used fender is close to impossible (if I had a Chevelle, I'd have hundreds of replacement vendors options, but... then I'd have a Chevelle like millions of other guys at cruises). I do have a solid lead on a used 1970 fender at a good price. (I found a place called Konik's Klassics that also sells very nice-looking fully refurbished fenders.)
QUESTION: It is my understanding that 1970, 71, and 72 front fenders are interchangeable. Is this correct?
