ABC will broadcast the Pocono INDYCAR 400 Fueled by Sunoco at noon (ET) July 7. It's the 11th of 19 races on the schedule. Helio Castroneves is the championship points leader.
Chief announcer Marty Reid will be joined in the broadcast booth by former Indy car drivers Scott Goodyear and Eddie Cheever Jr. as analysts.
Radio broadcast: IMS Radio Network affiliates, Sirius and XM 211, American Forces Network, INDYCAR 13 app, indycar.com
... Chief announcer: Mike King Timing & Scoring: INDYCAR 13 app, Race Control on indycar.com

Twitter: @IndyCar (#indycar), @poconoraceway (#whatturn4)
Track layout: 2.5-mile tri-oval with 14 degrees of banking in Turn 1; 8 degrees of banking in Turn 2 and 6 degrees of banking in Turn 3
Length: 160 lap/ 400 miles
Start: Three-wide rolling start ... Restarts: Single file
First IZOD IndyCar Series event at venue: July 3, 1971, won by Mark Donohue
Verizon P1 Award winner: Marco Andretti (221.273 mph two-lap average in No. 25 RC Cola car for Andretti Autosport. Track record
He said it: “I got everything out of it," Andretti said. "I knew I was going to be pleased with the result. It all came together. I think this place was built for IndyCars and vice versa. I think it’s going to be a little bit like Indianapolis, right place at right time, timing your passes. You really have to be smart. You have to be more than just alongside. You can’t go two-wide in Turn 2.”
What to watch: With a three-wide start for the first time since the 97th Indianapolis 500 and an all-Andretti front row, watch as the teammates lead the field down the long front straightaway into the near 180-degree first turn. Also keep an eye on the driver starting in the fifth position – the inside of Row 2 – as Indianapolis 500 winner Tony Kanaan hopes to complete the second leg of the Fuzzy’s Triple Crown with a win. If he wins, Kanaan will clinch $250,000 and remain eligible for the $1 million bonus if he can also claim victory in the MAVTV 500 at Auto Club Speedway on Oct. 19.
Did you know: Danny Sullivan won the fastest IndyCar race at Pocono Raceway with an average speed of 170.720 mph in 1989, which was also the last time Indy cars competed at the 2.5-mile oval. Sullivan also holds the smallest margin of victory of an Indy car race at Pocono when he defeated Rick Mears by .2700 of a second in 1984.
Up next: Honda Indy Toronto doubleheader July 13-14 on streets of Exhibition Place (3 p.m. ET on NBC Sports Network both days).

I will say:
Im not a huge fan of indy car racing...But in the late 80's and early 90's I use to work for a towing company called Boulevard and Trumbull.... Whren the Indy cars ran on the streets of Detroit, I was one of the fellas in a wrecker just waiting for them to stahl, crash or die on the track... and I would get to haul them back to the pits...

I did manage one year to hit up almost every team for a Hat...There all still in abox somewhere still wraped in there original plastic bags.... I also managed to get 1 of there tow straps....LOL.. I think its in the box with the hats from all the Teams....:rotfl:

But since its another boreing sunday here at home... Looks like I just may turn it on and watch the race!
Thanks for the heads up!
