It's that time of year! I don't know the points, so wer'e going to figure out the winner based on the best average finish between their picks. A full entry list may be viewed here.

Overall winner along with class victories will be determined by average place finish.

Ganassi is running Furds, but long time Ford team Michael Shank has switched ot Honda this year. AJ Allmendinger won this race as an underdog with a Furd for Michael Shank.

Daytona Prototype Class (usually the fastest cars and winner come from this class)

1) #01 - Ganassi Ford powered Riley DP
2) #02 - Ganassi Ford powered Riley DP
3) #50 - BMW powered Riley DP, picking this one for sentimental reasons - the sponsor is "50 Plus Racing Endure for a Cure" a charity to raise awarness and funds to stop alzheimers. My grandmother died of complications related to a stroke after battling alzheimers for the last 10 years of her life. Plus, I've actually hustled decent money on the side repairing BMW's in the past....




Prototype Challegne Class.... all Chevrolets in this field..


1) #54 - two drivers from Charlotte, NC on that team.

GT Le MAns class.... interesting mix here.

1) #98 - the only Aston Martin and the only one running E10 fuel in this classs. I've had bad luck with E85 in the past and am opposed to high ethanol blends in general.
2) #911 Porsche
3) #912 Porsche - picked these because there are German and British drivers. Scratch a European and you'll find precision.


GT Daytona class.

#22 - a WeatherTech sponsored Porsche.. i like those floor mats in my Mustang.
#63- a Royal Purple sponsored Ferrari 458 Italia - driven by 4 Americans and sponsored by an American company!
#007 - an Aston Martin, sponsored by Royal Purple! I've also been reading the 007 books lately.....

Those seem like solid reasons for those picks. After careful consideration, I'll pick:

It's all a bunch of stupid reasons to pick 'em, but I still gave it a lot of thought

I feel like those people who make superbowl picks based on the mascots....

My pick for the SuperBowl is the Malibu Dempsey's...

It ain't gonna be much of a prestigious trophy. But still better than that time I won the Indy 500 by myself

the #31 with Max Papis is 17 laps down in 50th place overall

The #98 Aston Martin was on lead lap but pulled off the track as I started to type this.
