Monte Carlos in NHRA
 

So awhile back I went to the Summer Nationals at Heartland Park in Topeka. I was just enjoying some good ole' drag racin' when, to my surprise a Monte Carlo Funny Car pulled up to the line. So I finally researched and found quite a few Montes in drag racing. :thumbsup:

Alexis DeJoria got her first win in the Top Alcohol Funny Car class in her Monte at the Northwest Nationals in Seattle. Her car is the green and black Tequila Patron Monte Carlo. (The 5th picture from the top)

So it turns out that there are quite a few 5 second Montes out there. Maybe one day my car will be like that hahaha.

....I have a diecast MC Funny Car that Tony Pedregon drove a couple of years ago. Pretty neat.

Yeah I had no idea until I went to the Summer Nationals. It's just kinda nice to see our cars being used in the national spotlight and to still hear people talk about it after it's exit from NASCAR and since production ended. Something about this just screams 'future classic' to me.
