Screw Indy racing! I don't know how anyone can stand it. Honestly, I've tried to watch the last 2 Indy 500's (cuz I love Danica), but they don't even let them race. Anytime anyone is fast, the officials black flag the car it front of them. It's the only way passing takes place. Last year there must have been 30 black flags. Danica did well since she was never flagged, but what a crappy way to get to the front. And even when the race was over,officials adjusted the finishing positions.

Those guys do a good job of driving incredible & fast cars, but that ain't racing

One of my friends from Texas just called on his way back home home here in Indiana, wanted me to go with him Sunday, DECLINED. Been there once and thats all I needed. Dont think I have watched an Indy race since and that was 20 years ago. I am only about 45-60 minutes away.

I would watch it `if I did not need to get some sleep...I will check it out & also the Nascar Race b-4 I go back 2 work...

As much as I gripe (and even answered "no" on the poll) I will be watching the Indy 500 from my hotel before heading up to the grandstands to watch the CocaCola 600. I can't promise that I'll stay awake.

So what the hell - let's make some picks!

1. Danica Patrick (ya didn't see that one coming did ya?)
2. Dario Franchitti
3. John Andretti

Not the most educated picks, but all 3 of my picks have tried their hand in NASCAR, so those are my boys (and girl).
Someone else better throw down some picks or I'll skate this MCF Indy 500 win...

On approximately lap 65 a caution comes out and all kinds of rules go out the window! I thought the NASCAR officiating was screwed! Franchitti get the lead after he pits when pit row was closed (there is no way he was close to being on pit row when the caution flew), but Danica is penalized for doing the same thing - even tho her car stalled out out of fuel. I'm having trouble following the scoring

Edit: did she get a penalty? I can't tell. But my picks are doing better then anyone elses *snicker*

Well, I watched it all and never fell asleep. And that race was at least 5 times more exciting then I expected and 10 times more exciting then last years race. No black flags! Exciting finish for sure. Rookie Hildebrandt must feel sooo stupid and he should. To wreck on the last corner of such a long race with such a huge lead is one of biggest bone head things I have ever seen. We almost had us another Trevor Bayne moment.

Who ever was making the pit calls for Danica should be taken out and shot. Or at least consider a new career. Franchitti's bad call might have worked, but Danica stayed out for 15 laps too long with a slower car with no strategy on how they were going to make that up - and they didn't. A splash of fuel might have worked better then an altogether too late 4 tire stop.

Anyways, not that anyone cares, but I declare myself the MCF Indy 500 winner. I'll have to wait until I get home to update my signature.
