-> Your `Dream Monte Carlo ?
Honestly, I am extremely happy with my Monte Carlo/Firebird Formula pair, but later on in life I aspire to obtain and collect a nice 2005 or 2006 Pontiac GTO, of course black on black. Awesome idea for a thread btw. And just for the record, I wouldn't want another Monte Carlo.

I wouldn't trade my Monte for any other vehicle ever...
if i ever had the chance to get what ever model Monte i wanted, i would give it away to a deserving person, and since your such a big MC fan 'space and you don't currently have one...It's all yours bro. (Besides, it feel way better to give than to receive...)

Thanks everyone for posting/playing/dream'in

I really enjoyed reading everyone's response in this thread.
And I still a lot of support for the 4th gen Montes. The SS Model of course.
What else right?
I feel very fortunate I happen to own an '86 Monte. Okay it is NOT the SS model. But mine is very close to being an SS (thanks in part to the parts the previous owner installed and those I installed myself ) I could do a clone very easily if I wanted. All that's missing is the SS nose on the car.
BUT................ the LS Monte is a lot more rare compared the the SS. Whether it's the '86, 87, or 88 there were less made then the SS body style.
Sure I too wanted an SS ever since they were brand new cars.
Some things to consider:
LS
Engine more then likely either a V6 or the stock 305 V8.
Came stock with the wrap around tail lights. SS didn't get this till 1987.
Stock composite headlights. SS never got this. Only years later in the aftermarket.
Could have been upgraded from the factory to include the gauge package that included the indash tachometer like the SS.
Got the less desireable suspension package. Not sure if the F41 could have been installed at the factory or not?
Could have came with a bench seat and column shifter or bucket seats and floor shifter.
Came stock with 14 inch wheels. Even the upgraded rally wheel package.
SS
Came stock with the H O 305 small block.
Stock sealed beam headlights. NOTE: there was an upgrade you could do to install Eurodrive headlights in the SS nose before the aftermarket caught up.
Stock gauge package in the dash.
Stock F41 suspension. (I'm sure some where out there some on bought an SS without this feature. Why? Who knows other then cost)
Could have gotten either a bench seat and column shifter or buckets seats and floor shifter.
Outside stripe package.
SS got the 15 inch wheels as stock equipment and performance tires.
My LS does have the indash tach and the stiffer F41 suspension. Only cause I installed these myself. Plus the previous owner scrapped the stock 305 and had a H O 305 installed in it's place.
