Which year Camaro was the ugliest?
My wife recently showed me some pics of her coveted old '72. And that got me to thinking: What was the ugliest Camaro ever made? I figured it would be fun to poll the MCF since most of us are Chevy enthusiasts who probably respect the Camaro's legacy (even if its not as grand as the Chevrolet Monte Carlo). I figured Monte Carlo owners/ enthusiasts could answer this unbiasedly.
Here's some examples for a refresher:
'68 Camaro (gen 1)

'72 Camaro (gen 2)

'78 Camaro (still a gen 2 - how can it be? The nose is different...)

'84 Camaro (gen 3)

'94 Camaro (gen 4)

'02 Camaro (gen 4)

2011 Camaro

The obvious question is "which was the nicest", but I'm mean today and wanna determine the ugliest!
These picks maybe aren't the best, so add your own if you want - which one is ugliest?

One, you accidentally put another 2nd gen in place of the 68.
Two, the 98-02 are the ugliest IMO. Yes, they have a lot of power with the LS1 but they look like a dadgum catfish from the front. I love the front end of the 93-97 but I can't stand the front end of the 98-02.
Three, the 2nd gen covers 70-81. The main changes were the nose and tail (in 74 and in 78), rear window (went to a wraparound style in 75) and the gauge cluster (in 78). The body remained the same throughout the rest of the generation. That's why they're all considered 2nd gens. Outside of the nose and tail, you can take pretty much anything from any of those years in Camaros and put it onto another 70-81.

The 2011 gets my vote, never liked the look of them. Never will, I really think Dodge nailed the muscle car look with the Challenger (granted it lacking in performance to the Camaro). I feel like the Camaro is just...I dont know, I hate the front nose, mainly grill.. and the back is too rounded off for me.
My ranking 1-5 (1 the best, 5 the worst imo)
1.) 68
2.) 84
3.) 78 (and the 72, grouping them)
4.) 94-02 (I am grouping those together)
5.) 2011

Actually, I like the Edsel. But I'm glad Chevy improved the second gen Camaro's nose. I joke about the second gen because in MonteCarlology we change the generation with a change in nose or powertrain, right?
I'd have to say the 90's-2002 f-bodies...just not a fan of the styling and cheap plastic interior pieces...to me they put all the enphisis on the engine and performance, and what that should be good enough for a performance car it clearly wasn't
2nd gen next "ugliest....although I do like the big open grill one far better then the grill with the bar in the middle.
3rd gen...Hey I liked the Iroc-Z's and I'm a product of the 80's
5th Gen...Like the retro ques but not a fan of the weight and complete retro look...
1st Gen My Favorite for now
6th Gen...with it being on the alpha platfrom, it should shed a lot of weight, while keeping the power up...also hopefully it is less retroy and more retro ques qith a newer style.

Favorite is the 2nd gen with the bumperettes. Just says 'danger' all over it, pedestrians beware. My high school days dream car.
Least is the early 4th gen. The headlight design ugh - did they let the Geo Metro stylist loose?

I almost bought a later 4th gen Camaro, but got a better deal on a 4th gen Firebird.

To be completely honest, I'm somewhat burned out on 1st gens. Every car show I go to everyone and their brother has one. They're decent looking cars but the build quality is FAR better on the 2nd gens. Not to mention the early (70-73) 2nd gens also had more power. Here's my favorites from top to bottom.
1) 2nd gens (I like em all)
2) 3rd gen
3) 93-97
4) 1st gen
5) 2010+
6) 98-02
A project that I intend to do at some point is turn an L67 for RWD, mate it to a 6 speed (they use the 60* bellhousing so I either need an adapter plate for a T56 or I need to find a 2010+ V6 6 speed), and drop it into a 2nd gen. Be a way unique modern engine swap plus have decent power to boot. No way I'd put a T5 behind an L67, that's asking to blow a tranny, especially considering I blew 2 of them with my N/A L36 in the 96 Camaro I used to have.
