was a 1972 Chevy Nova 454 w/ 4 on the floor
looked a lot like this but was actually only primer gray not paint and wheels less shiny

i bought it for $1,100 from an old man, had no interior but for the front seat, no dashboard either.. so i couldn't tell how fast i was going.
took it to a corvette shop to get a tach/speedo installed and two days later the owner of the shop offered me $16,000 for it (turns out every body panel, engine, and transmission) had matching numbers/vin.

took the money and i still see this car at that shop, worth a little over $100k after being fully restored.

First car was an '87 Camaro. Kind of wish I still had it, it was a fun first car. It was one of the last camaro's to be built at the original camaro plant in Norwood, OH.

The '93 Silverado... it now has a cam shaft walking in and out on it... 190,000 miles. First car that was techinically mine though was the blue one in my signature.

So the paint was actually probably still in pretty good shape.

My first car was a 95 Lumina. Great car, had over 180k on the 3.1, a few dents on the side, and then I lost the headgasket and didn't feel like fixing it again

Mine was a 1997 Plymouth Breeze that we still have. Got in a really bad flood 2 days after I got the monte (crazy good timing!) and it still runs decent considering how bad the flood was & the fact that it was over 265K miles on it. I don't have any pics of it on my dad's computer but I'll post a pic later. Nowadays my dad uses it to commute back & forth to Troy since it gets like 30-40mpg easily and I use it several times a week to take it to ride Dusty since Sherri lives down a crazy long & horribly dusty gravel road that I hate taking the monte down & the Breeze gets way better gas mileage.

If you wanna get all technical though, the race car was the first car I drove lol

It's neat to see the variation of everyone's first cars in relation to ages & what not

First car I bought was my Monte. I drove my mothers 2004 malibu classic for a year before that (Which I now bought as a winter rat) and the car I learned to drive in was my uncles 78 trans am.

'67 VW

Was stolen from a girl I knew, daddy bought her a '66 Mustang a week after that. Three weeks later the bug was picked up in L.A. They gave me the pink slip, it cost about $150 in gas, tow bar rental & impound fees to get it back home along with two buddies and a Datsun 510.

Spent a few years replacing small missing parts and making upgrades. Some VDO gauges in the dash speaker panel, 12" wood rim steering wheel, a Pioneer Supertuner cassette stereo in the glove box, extractor muffler, nerf bars etc.

ha ha, found this in my picture folder, me at the wheel like in my avatar. About 35 years ago:

^^^

Sold it for $700, went on to the next big thing, mini trucks.
