Good Morning All,
Nice almost-cool ride to work this morning (about 72 I think). Heading to the low 90's this afternoon. Not bad for this time of year.
Performed a little reconstructive surgery on the mufflers for my bike last night. I have Devil Magnum carbon fiber mufflers. They come with a 'silencer insert' that forces most of the exhaust through the baffles. With the help of my local hardware store, a drill and hacksaw, I fabricated small brackets that let me pull the silencer inserts out about 1/2" to let the exhaust breath a little easier and let out a little more of the throaty growl the engine (inline 4, 1298cc) naturally produces. Earlier I tried removing the inserts entirely but the result was a low frequency drone that got quite annoying. The ride to work this morning was my first ride with the re-engineered silencer inserts. I think I'm going to like it.
I wish modifying the exhaust on the Monte was as simple. With about 168K on the clock, the stock exhaust is starting to show it's age. But since it's my wife's daily driver, I can't go hog-wild with a new exhaust. Has to be mellow enough to pass the wife's inspection. Figuring out what to do will give me something to do this winter when I can't ride as much.

Good morning all smoked out my tail lights yesterday today i took the time to paint the chevy logos black on the front and back looks good so hows everyone been have not been on much i have been working alot gotta get that overtime got a few things i wonna do to the monte

Oh my gosh, four o'clock in the afternoon and only 16 posts!!! I've got to say something.....anything.....hopefully humorous...or at least informative.....maybe automotive...
Happy Birthday, Kane! I'd like to see pictures of those smoked tail lights, Monte06ltz. We're having a quiet day in St. Louis. Granddaughter got her nails done this afternoon, complete with flowers and a jewel. It was her 7th birthday present from a friend of our's. This morning I took them exploring in a neighborhood creek - does anybody remember doing that as a kid? You just walk along slowly, looking at the creek bed, till you find something interesting. Then you go home.
Now its someone else's turn to liven up this blog -----

i just washed my monte today and relaxed all day.
no work tonight, think im going out to dinner with the girlfriend when she gets out of work.

Hi `Angie,
Some Days our member's are just out having fun & enjoying driving there Monte Carlo's. I wish I could get out of my work prison & get away & have some fun. But, we all got to do, what we all got to `do...Wish you a fun pre-evening & `eve...We must just be happy 2 `be...There are so many that have many more problems then us...Some have no food, shelter, $'s etc...We have the `web & can go anywhere we want `if we just hit some keys
Sadly, the price of `gas is incresing again in our area
