Off of school.
I have a job Interview tonight and i really hope i can land it.
Unfortunately i have not been able to obtain and keep a job very long.
businesses seem to want me for my knowledge on site creation, social media, and advertising knowledge, but soon drop me when they think "they have it all figured out now." This new business wants me to do 2 jobs, To do what i listed before and to also work in the store. So once i get finished setting them up on the internet i will hopefully still have a job in the store.

Having issues getting the parts i need, one item is discontinued and hard to find. But i found one on craigs list so i might be saved if it pays off. EDIT: awesome, just got off the phone with someone, has the part i need brand new. Picking it up saturday, hopefully no craigslist horror stories result There is a reason why im not giving out any details, my project is extrmely radical and i wanna show it all at once as a surprise

Space - I've managed to stay married for 24 years by NOT making decisions like that! But thanks for the thought.

+1 I don't care for 'Hallmark holidays'. You don't need a special occasion to tell someone you love them. I tell my wife I love her every day. But I'm not a total curmudgeon - On Valentine's Day I generally make her a card from scratch (usually with a poem - this year it was 'To Be with You' by Max Ehrmann) and a nice dinner (which I also clean up of course). But I do forgo the ridiculously expensive flowers.

I hope you feel better soon, Amy. And best of luck with the (hopefully) final part of the interview process.

Amy I hope you get the job and everything works out for you. It's not a pleasant situation to be in. We still have health insurance through my wife's job, but it's looking like she may not return to work and will be on permanent disability. Therefore I'm heading back to work sooner, to take a job with benenfits. Which leads me to the next bit of information...
I got the job! (pending school board approval tonight, which they said was just a formality since 2 school board members interviewed me). My background checks also have to come back clear. Physical/immunization records, etc. I will be a second shift (3 pm-11 pm) custodian/janitor/whatever you want to call me at my old high school. Two of the guys (one a supervisor) I'll be working with said I'm coming aboard at a good time. They expect 4 people to retire within the next 2 years, so there should be room for advancement, and more importantly to me, a good chance to make it to dayshift!

Thanks `Amy for your reply...I was not judging you for the position that you have been put in with work & your health insurance issues. I find it sad that our government or some employer's put us in2 the position that we have to tell untruths to protect our jobs & to keep insurance...

I am very fortunate to work for a SuperOwner/Boss that demand 100% honesty in our work...
I've had employee's miss work and called & stated that they drank to much, and the owner appreciates their honesty & gives them another chance...He said if it happens again he wants a call, but will recommend counselling `if it becomes a problem. I think our government should have medical coverage for `all...We could afford it `if we stay away from getting in wars & rebuilding every one's country, but ours...
(End of rant) `Amy, I wish you the best in getting your new `job & I really hope it's a great/honest company that will do it's best to take care of their employees.
