Good morning guys.

MCF BLOG FUTURE - Barb was basically our designated Blog starter but now, with her passing, we don't really have anyone. Is there anyone on here that can be the designated Blog starter each morning? Or maybe we consider a monthly Blog? Secondly, there used to be good Blog activity but that's been slowly dwindling to almost nothing now - can we get the Blog participation from everyone on here to make it worth doing the Blog? Post your feedback please.

I think monthly is a good idea. It still gets bumped back to the top with each entry without having to make the huge initial post. It might also spur longer "conversations" due to not having to restart every day. How 'bout we somehow honor Barb by naming it after her or putting her photo in the initial post every month? Just thinking out loud...

I tried starting the thing for awhile but not much activity.
We get a lot of new folks that ask all kinds of questions about how to fix this and that. But once you answer the need they disappear.

When I joined I got involved because it was enjoyable to find out about everyone's car and what they were doing to it.
Kind of how I was able to meet several members over the past few years. Including Barb she was going to the Monte Show in Bowling Green and I was in Tennessee at the time and drove up.
I will start the blog when I can? I thought I was going to retire and then I had some stuff to do with the job in the Home state finally and went back to work but it is Temporary.
I just don't want to be gone that much anymore. I made a change to the blog showing the winners of the MOTM so far. that kind of dropped away also. unfortunately the new folks are shy about everything but asking how to fix the Car. :rotfl:

I agree that blog activity has been reducing. Without someone to start it hard to keep a daily one going. We tried a continuous blog a couple of times and people did not care for it. Perhaps a monthly one would pan out, longer time frame, bigger conversations.

I think we go to a monthly Blog beginning this Friday on the 1st of September - I'll offer to start the first one. I think at this point, with the reduced activity, having a monthly Blog is a better option especially since there's days that go by where no Blog gets posted. You can still check into the monthly Blog and say hi on a daily basis, as the daily was used, but monthly will be a lot less labor intensive and will also allow conversations, etc. to continue and not die out with each passing day.

HEY NOW! aint no one ever call me shy! :happyanim: I'm am actually looking to get to know some of the people around here. I have just gotten back into the car scene for a while, and I missed the shooting of the **** at car shows, and helping to wrench on someone's car all night to get them ready for a show that weekend. I hope to run into some of yall out there.
