Good morning MCF!! :)
Looks like it is going to be a beautiful day. Hope everyone has a great day! Space- Thoughts and prayers to you. Get well and come back soon. |
Good morning everyone. It is my day off and the weather here is down in the 40s this morning. Which is weird since it was in the 90s this week earlier.
|
Morning all well looks like a nice day but a rainy weekend coming. Hope everyone has a great day.
|
Good morning everyone!
Almost friday :D |
Mornin' all. A little bummed this morning after missing an opportunity to buy a '01 SS project car. $1,600 for a black SS with 102,000 miles. Needed tires and a fog light, and tranny was "going out". Never got a chance to see it, but I got a feeling, with only 102,000 miles it was probably a $20 solenoid. Would have been some work, but would have been fun. Another opportunity missed.:(

Then you're in $3,100 with a running, driving car, that's only worth about $3500-4000... and you still have to do some touching up. So don't be too upset, there will be other deals out there :D |

Don't be too bummed... With 102k I wouldn't be surprised if the trans was bad and needed rebuilding. New trans and tires = $1500 at least.

Been looking for a project car like this for a while now. Have a GM Tech 2 scanner that probably would have shown all. Just have to wait for the next one.:) |

I've been looking for cars to flip lately as well, hard to find some that are clean. |
Yah, the Tech 2 is the best tool in my box. It's probably a Chinese counterfeit which I didn't know at the time when I bought it, but you can't tell the difference between it and the real thing. Bought it online for $600 through Alibaba.com about 5 years ago. Was pretty nervous about giving my credit card info. to a Chinese company with no guarantee of receiving the merchandise, but they came through. First suspicion was when the seller said they had to ship the software CD separate, (Pirate CD written in Chinese) LOL. Fortunately, all the software was already loaded in English. Don't really know why they even bothered with the CD. I see they're selling for about $300 now. I don't support dealing with the Chinese like this, just thought I was cutting out the middle man markup at the time, and probably wouldn't do it again.
