If you really want to keep the steelies on there, maybe see if you can get a set of those center caps that just fits the area where the lugnuts are. Like the police car hubcaps.

I would do what you like best, but what I'd be concerned about is that the hubcaps protect your steel studs that will attract rust/salt etc. If you run without your caps, I'd suggest that you use a lube on your stud's to protect then from rusting, & I would torque your lug nuts to spec. You don't want your `nuts to seize on the stud, especially if you have a flat tire & have to change

The ones Space posted should fit. You're looking for a 5 x 4.52 inch, or 5 x 115 mm bolt pattern. Look for caps that will fit a 2000's model year Impala, and you should be good.

I punched in "Impala police hubcaps" into ebay, and tons of results came up.

I still say try to look for at least the stock rims for the 5th gens, but if you really want the steel rims, definitely look for the center caps to go with it. Since you are a criminal justice major, it would look pretty cool too
