So i got pulled over for my foglights....

I got a warning to remove them specifically because im not allowed to have the blue halos... mind you the cop was looking for a reason to pull me over for like 5 exits and was gonna give up then saw them slammed the brakes and pulled behind me with the lights on. I got a seatbelt tix tho because i unstrapped when i put it in park. whelp first time getting pulled over got a warning and a 25 buck tix oh well the fogs are breaking anyways :rotfl:

the law specifically states "blue flashing, rotating or oscillating blue light in any direction." does not state stationary so since feburary they had been on with no problems as well as passing inspections.

Maybe now you'll put something on that doesn't look like crap.

Any lighting that might be deemed simulating an emergency vehicle to my knowledge is against the law (so red and blue are light choices to be careful with).

But if they check the fogs during a state inspection and pass them, eh, it could make for an argument of "why the ticket".

BTW - I've been pulled over plenty (and I knew years ago when i had driver's ed, they reviewed what to do when getting pulled over). Simply pull over, now in days of power windows, wind it down, turn off the car and sit with your hands on the wheel, stay like this and wait for the officer. Do not move for anything until he asks. If something he requests is in a center console or glove box (concealed), inform him "my <item> is in the center console, is it OK for me to get it". The reason for this is to avoid a situation where the officer may believe you are reaching for a weapon and it also let's him know what you are doing.
Just some advice (hopefully you don't get pulled over again).

BTW - For stupid pull overs, I was in Michigan years ago in my '84 Camaro, late at night, got pulled over with the claim it was the "Fuzzy dice" on my rear view mirror. No ticket, just a check of my license and I was not violating a curfew.

My kid got pulled over for having a pine tree scented cut out on his rear view mirror here in Lansing MI $250 fine and 2 points. The Duce has fuzzy dice. I puled up along side cops and never got even a dirty look. They just mess with young people I think

Hey I got halos on the Deuce white ones - Never once did they get called "Crappy"

Just saying

I got pulled over once in my 81 buick regal, because in the police officer's own words "I didn't recognize the car", so he thought that justified pulling me over on a Sunday morning:rolleyes:

Never had any problems with anything hanging from my mirror before, but I do know they frown upon the wrong colored lights on your car. I remember when they were pulling people over for having the neon license plate frames when they were popular

Lizzy was pulled over last year (2012) when she was driving mine...
My yellow fogs had a blue hue to them when there turned off...

Once you turn them on...they glow yellow.... The cop harassed her about it til she turned them on and he quickly with drew his bitching sermon on the "blue" light theory. Which im sure messed him up mentally as he originally stopped her for the window tint.

Anyway he let her go with a warning for the tint...But it did mees wiyth her on her drive into work enough that she decided to leave work early...
Cops are Dicks for sure when they want to be...Its not like lizzy is some punk kid or anything... He just figured that since the car looks "different" Than your standard automobile on the road...why not mess with the owner?

TPS your fogs are actually white when there on.. So, I would have definitely try to fight the ticket in court.... all because they have a hint of blue when there off? Makes no sense to me...sounds more like harassment to me!

Try telling the cop "I have a loaded weapon in the car" or just genrerally "I have a weapon in the car" they will freak on you even though its legal. I'm lucky enough to have been pulled over only once and didn't have my gun on me at the time. My brother has trouble with cops all the time. Sometimes you get that guy who was picked on in highschool and that's why he became a cop. But their are just as many good ones but you never notice cause they dont pull you over for dumb ass reasons.

I got pulled over the other nite by a kool cop. I had blown a fuse for my running lites=no taillights. There was actually a couple things he could have ticketed me for(like no proof of insurance had insurance just not proof.) He didnt even give me a verbal warning. He just sed itd b a good idea to fix the lites b4 i drove it much more. :) course i was super polite to him and also pulled over on the left side of the road(so he wouldnt have to dodge traffic) and immidiately. I also put out my cigarette. Theres nothing to b gained by being irate with a cop
